CHILDREN OF BODOM Films 'Was It Worth It?' Video

October 13, 2010

On October 6, Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM shot a video for a new song, "Was It Worth It?", "somewhere in north Pennsylvania." Directing the clip was Dale "Rage" Resteghini, who has helmed over 550 music videos since 2003, including clips for such metal bands as MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ANTHRAX and SHADOWS FALL. Rage has also directed videos for some of the biggest names in the hip hop world, including Lil Wayne, Diddy, Snoop Dog and Ice Cube.

CHILDREN OF BODOM's as-yet-untitled seventh studio album is being produced by Matt Hyde, who has previously worked with SLAYER and MONSTER MAGNET, among others. An early 2011 release through Spinefarm Records in Europe and Metal Blade Records in North America is expected.

"We're very excited to let everyone hear what we're creating with this new record," said the band in a statement. "Everything you love about CHILDREN OF BODOM has been magnified tenfold and we’re pushing ourselves harder than ever before. Expect nothing less than the perfect storm!"

CHILDREN OF BODOM has released the latest webisode featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions for the new record via the band's COBTV platform. Check out the clip below.

CHILDREN OF BODOM launched a full North American tour on September 22 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The band is touring through November alongside BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. CHILDREN OF BODOM's Alexi Laiho and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's Zakk Wylde appear side-by-side on the cover of Guitar World's October 2010 issue.
